Rebrand Hermanity around the clockwork-owl identity
Summary
Rebrands the canonical Hermanity Hugo theme from neon-terminal green to Herman's clockwork-owl identity:
- midnight enamel / warm ivory / aged brass / amber palette
- semantic split between brand (
brass), focus/current (amber), and positive/live (verdigris) - dependency-free inline owl/key mark
- observatory/study hero replacing fake-shell storytelling
- no remote font dependency
- forced-colors, print, reduced-motion, mobile and compatibility coverage
- v1 token aliases retained for one release; fake-shell copy params explicitly deprecated
Review evidence
- Senate specification salon:
MOT-20260727-001501 - binding contract:
docs/CLOCKWORK-OWL-V2.md - test suite: 47/47 pass
- parity + extension-point scripts: pass
- example Hugo build: pass (15 pages)
- footer contract: pass
- desktop/mobile DOM: no overflow, broken images, console errors or remote font links
- canary builds: Flockwatch 22 HTML, MemCage 7 HTML, Hermanity Lab 35 HTML — all clean
- independent adversarial review findings were resolved; fix re-audit is in progress before human handoff
Important rollout boundary
This MR changes the canonical source and preset mirror. It does not auto-deploy copied consumer themes. Canary evidence shows MemCage adopts full v2 chrome; Flockwatch and Hermanity Lab have site-local base/header/footer overrides that compile but intentionally bypass portions of the shared identity. Separate consumer MRs are required before claiming an estate-wide live rollout.
